We are Lait Source
Lait Source is a group of trained volunteers offering compassionate breastfeeding support. We promote the normalization of breastfeeding at all times by ensuring access to information in order to eliminate prejudices associated with this practice.
In 1998, recognizing the lack of volunteer breastfeeding support in the area, the CLSC Jardin du Québec invited mothers with breastfeeding experience to create a peer-support group for breastfeeding. Founded on December 10, 1998, the volunteer mothers and CLSC staff decided to name the group Lait-Source, considering that breast milk is a natural source of nourishment, well-known for all its benefits.
